Maya acquired her degree in Product Design at ArtCenter College of Design, where she learned to apply storytelling and research to meaningful product experiences. She found her passion for studying human behavior and culture and is now pursuing a degree in anthropology.

Design and anthropology are crucial components of everyday business, society, and life as whole. Her mission is to merge the design and academic worlds in order to create more intellectually accessible sources of knowledge for people outside of these fields.

"I want to use my skills to help others find their voice. I want to learn more about the communities around me, and discover the subtle nuances that make it special. I want my work to be the springboard for deeper conversation, and the foundation on which others can build meaningful and innovative systems."

Paired with her love of writing and illustration, Maya hopes to create a diverse portfolio of work that resonates on a universal level.
